Climber in 200ft peak plummet

A WARRINGTON man was just feet from death when he tumbled 200ft on Snowdon to within inches of a sheer drop.
Emergency services said he and a friend, also from the town, got into difficulties at about 10.30am yesterday.
They came in for serious criticism after setting foot on the freezing mountain wearing tracksuits and trainers and without even basic hiking gear such as torches, compasses, boots or waterproofs.
A helicopter from RAF Valley 22 Squadron was called to help rescue them
